Inaugurated in 2006 by Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India, the India Expo Centre is arguably India’s most modern and well specified exhibition centre, and a fitting venue for NECE 2008.
This state-of-the-art, multi-functional air conditioned venue boasts world-class exhibitor and visitor facilities including a fully equipped warehouse; a secure vault system; floor ports for power, telephony and data connectivity; high capacity and load bearing elevators and access points; uninterrupted power supply; CCTV; multi-cuisine restaurants; outdoor and underground parking for over 8000 vehicles and 200 trucks and buses; travel, VIP and press lounges, and even an onsite bank. The centre also places a significant emphasis on safety, and has a dedicated ambulance and doctor on call.
The venue is also very well connected to the heart of New Delhi and its airports – with a brand new, modern highway connecting it to them in no more than 40-60 minutes, depending on traffic. For ministers, service chiefs, senior corporate executives and other senior officials, there is even a dedicated helipad for the venue and event.
This efficient and ultra-modern venue provides a new benchmark for the standards and quality of major international trade shows held in India, and will contribute significantly to the exhibitor and visitor experience at NECE 2008.
