India, US move ahead to ink key defence pacts
New Delhi, 12 May, 2008: New Delhi and Washington are moving forward to ink two crucial defence pacts. India has already forwarded its "detailed counter-draft" for the End-Use Verification Agreement (EUVA) to US, while the one for the Communication Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMoA) will be sent within a month.
Indian government in talks with EADS for setting up small, medium aircraft assembly units
New Delhi, 7 April 2008: Having emerged as a global small car manufacturing hub, India is now initiating steps to become a small aircraft production centre.
The government is in talks with European aviation behemoth European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) – the parent of Airbus and Eurocopter – for setting up small and medium size aircraft assembly unit in the country.
Boeing excellence award for Infosys

New Delhi, 2 April 2008: New Delhi is all out to woo aviation behemoth European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), the parent of Airbus, to set up its facilities in India rather than China. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is trying hard to win away the company after cancelling its $600-million deal to buy aircraft from Eurocopter.

Boeing subsidiary Aviall to establish business operations in India
New Delhi, 13 March 2008: The Boeing Company today announced that Aviall, Inc., a wholly owned Boeing subsidiary, plans to open a business office in India during the second half of 2008. Aviall is one of the largest providers of new aviation parts and related aftermarket services in the aerospace industry. Aviall's India operation will serve the rapidly growing Indian aviation industry and be headquartered near New Delhi at the Noida Special Economic Zone in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
EADS offers to co-develop AESA radars with DRDO
New Delhi, 26 February 2008: European aerospace and defence major, EADS, has offered to co-develop with India the technology for active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for installation on board the indigenously developed, light combat aircraft Tejas. The offer has been made even as US aerospace giants, Boeing and Lockheed Martin, are awaiting clearance from the US Congress to offer a transfer of technology (ToT) agreement to India for the same technology.

India orders over one hundred SIGMA 95 navigation systems from Sagem Défense Sécurité
New Delhi, India, Feb 22, 2008: The aircraft manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) of India has just ordered from Sagem Défense Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) more than 100 SIGMA 95N navigation systems. These systems will be used on the Indian Air Force Sukhoi fighters and the Tejas fighters from the Indian LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) program.
